Have something to say about change?  If so, we invite you to submit a guest post to Tropophilia.

  • Send an email to tropophilia at gmail dot com with your post either attached as a Microsoft Word document, or pasted into the body of your message.
  • There’s no real minimum or maximum word count, but we suggest at least 200 words and probably not more than 1000-1200.
  • Regarding hyperlinks, you can either incorporate them yourself or just let us take care of it.  You can suggest or provide an image to accompany your post, if you wish, and we’ll take it into consideration.
  • We reserve the right to edit your post for spelling, grammar, inappropriate content, length, and format (paragraph divisions, etc.).  We will rarely reject your post outright; we want to work with you to make it suitable for the blog and to get your content published.
  • We have no topic restrictions, just that it be somehow related to change and to provide a fresh perspective.  You can be objective or opinionated, reflective or reactionary.  We just ask that you be reasonable, fair, courteous, and respectful of the ideas of others.

Some suggested topics (these can be in any area: technology, religion, education, environment, politics, culture… whatever you want):

  • change you’ve experienced or observed in your own day-to-day life that you want to share and explore
  • change you’ve read about in a magazine, book, newspaper, or another blog on which you wish to comment
  • change that you want (or don’t want) to see happen in the world
  • the pros and cons of announced, forthcoming, or impending change

We ask that if you are going be writing in direct response to something already posted on Tropophilia that you express your opinions in the comments to the post in question.  However, if you wish to argue a counterpoint or offer a different angle on an issue, a guest post is the perfect avenue.

We would appreciate knowing in advance if you plan on submitting a guest post, but you are by no means obligated to do so.

We look forward to working with you to get your content on Tropophilia!
